Brandreth is a Lake District fell of 715 m in Cumberland. Its key col leads to Great Gable, not to its nearest higher summit, Green Gable.
It shares its height of 715 m with Beinn Mheadhonach (Argyll and Bute) and Lonscale Fell. On the Wainwrights height ladder it sits between Birkhouse Moor (717.6 m) and Lonscale Fell (715 m). Its drop of 60 m makes it a Hewitt but is short of the 150 m a Marilyn needs. The key col is close by, only 0.4 km to the south at 655 m. The highest point is recorded as rock, not a cairn. It falls on two OS 1:50,000 sheets, 89 and 90.
